It all began ten years ago with the discovery of an aerial shot of Karangahape Road, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, taken in 1960 by Whites Aviation for George Court & Sons Ltd. The familiar cityscape – Myers Park, iconic buildings like George Court and St Kevins Arcade – instantly resonated. Yet, upon closer look, a different era unfolded. Vintage cars, the non-existent motorways, a towering gas silo marking a bygone skyline. To this day, we lose ourselves in the details of this image, continuously discovering something new we hadn't noticed before.
